High Diving World Champion Gary Hunt competed in mixed synchronized diving at the World Aquatic Championships in Budapest.
Hunt and partner Jade Gillet finished in eighth place with 246.39 points. Hunt competed in recurve diving competitions early in his career, winning medals at the British Championships and was a Commonwealth Games medalist in synchronized diving. Then he switched to high-level diving, then changed his sports citizenship to French.
The victory in this discipline was won by the Chinese duo Duan Yu / Ren Qian (341.16). Ukrainians Oleksiy Sereda and Sofia Lyskun won silver (317.01), bronze went to Carson Tyler and Delaney Schnell of the United States (315.90).
