Athletistic/ Figure Skating. Tatyana Tarasova, a titled figure skating coach, reacted to the fact that sports ministers from more than 30 countries called for the suspension of Russia’s membership in sports federations.
“These Poles already don’t know how to stop us. How to stop them from developing? What right do they have to laugh at people like that?”
According to Poland’s Sports and Tourism Minister Kamil Bortnichuk, the joint statement was signed by ministers from all EU countries except Bulgaria and Hungary. They were joined by sports ministers from the United States, Canada, Britain, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea and Norway. He also noted that he expects ministers from Iceland and Liechtenstein to join them, while Switzerland remains neutral.
