On Sunday the Kyiv team will play with Ferencvaros
Falcon played the second match in the second round Continental Cup. The champion of Ukraine in Belgrade lost devastatingly to Kaunas – 1:5.
Already in the first period, the Lithuanian team made a strong bid for victory, scoring three goals. One of them is on the account of ex-Sokol player Denis Goncharenko.
In the middle of the second 20 minutes, Sokol reduced the gap, but by the big break, Kaunas scored twice more. In the third period, the score on the scoreboard did not change.
Let us note that Kaunas is headed by the ex-coach of the national team of Ukraine and Donbass Sergei Viter. Also included in the Lithuanian team’s application for the match with Sokol were Ukrainians Sergei Pisarenko, Vladislav Sushkov, Dmitry Danilenko and Nazar Ruzhnikov.
In the first round of Group D, Sokol defeated Crvena Zvezda (4:2), and Kaunas lost to Ferencvaros (0:5). Only the winner of the quartet will advance to the next round of the Continental Cup.
In the final match, Sokol will play Ferencvaros on October 15. Starts at 14:30 Kyiv time.
