Coach of the Russian national water polo team Markoch: “We hope to organize a training camp with the Chinese”

The head coach of the Russian women’s water polo team, Sergei Markoch, said the team plans to hold a joint training camp in December with the Chinese team.

The Russians have already held a training camp in China this season.

— We went to Greece, China, the junior team went to Uzbekistan. The Chinese women have reached the Olympics, we want to agree with them on a training camp in December – either by going to China or by bringing them to us. We are awaiting their decision.

— So far, there is no information about water polo in the program of the BRICS Games and the World Friendship Games. He won’t be there?

— We submitted an application and indicated that we were interested in organizing a water polo tournament during these competitions. Everything in our power was done. Let’s hope that water polo is included in the program of these competitions.

— What are your impressions of the Palace of Water Sports in Krasnodar, where the Russian Cup final took place?

— Magnificent swimming pool, we were very well received. We hope that when we next visit there will be more fans in the stands,” Markoch told .
