The IOC has officially included baseball, flag football, cricket, lacrosse and squash in the 2028 Olympics.

Also included in the list are modern pentathlon and weightlifting, but a decision on boxing has been postponed

International Olympic Committee (IOC) officially included five additional sports in the program Summer Olympics 2028 In Los Angeles.

The list included baseball-softball, cricket, flag football (version of American football with limited contact wrestling), lacrosse And squash. Lacrosse is offered in a lacrosse-six format. Cricket is played in a limited-overs version of Twenty20.

Three of the five additional disciplines were previously on the Olympic program. Baseball and softball were played in 1992 – 2008 and at Tokyo 2020, cricket was in 1900, lacrosse was on the program of two Olympics – 1904 and 1908.

Also, the IOC session supported the recommendation of the organization’s Executive Committee to include it in the 2028 Games program modern pentathlon And weightliftingwhich were not on the original list.

The decision to include boxing in the 2028 Olympics has been postponed. Earlier, the IOC withdrew recognition of the International Boxing Association (IBA).
