Athletistic / Swimming. Egyptian swimmer Abdelrahman Elarabi has spoken out about the threats he receives because of his support for Palestine in the conflict with Israel.
“The last few days have been very difficult mentally for me, I have received frequent death threats. I have faced attacks all week because I now support Palestine. My family goes to bed not knowing if anyone one will break into our house. Every time I If you don’t answer the phone, the whole family wonders: “Is Abdelrahman busy or is someone threatening to kill him?”
I don’t know if I can celebrate my success in Athens now. My brothers and sisters are being killed in Palestine and I am being threatened with death just because of my beliefs,” Swim Swam quoted Elarabi as saying.
It is worth noting that earlier, the president of the Israeli Swimming Association, Miki Halika, asked the International Swimming Federation (World Aquatics) to evaluate Elarabi’s comments and posts on social networks in support terrorism.
Note that Abdelrahman Elarabi became the winner of the Swimming World Cup last week in Athens (Greece) over a distance of 50m butterfly.
