Athletistic/Others. According to the All-Russian Center for the Study of Public Opinion (VTsIOM), 54% of Russians play sports 1-3 times a month. 18% of respondents exercise daily and 22% prefer to exercise 2-3 times a week.

Over the past five years, the most common forms of physical activity remain running, fitness walking and athletics.

During the monitoring period, Russians’ interest in team sports decreased noticeably. Today they are less popular: football – 7%, volleyball – 3%, hockey – 1%, basketball – 1%.

For 44% of Russians, sport occupies little or no place in daily life. During the survey, 40% of respondents admitted to never exercising, and 4% limit themselves to a few workouts per year.
