Results of all qualifying matches for the 2024 European Championship for October 16
On Monday, October 16, the next matches of the eighth round of the qualifying round took place European Championship 2024.
In the first match of the gaming day within Group F, the Austrian national team defeated Azerbaijan at least 1:0. The only goal of the match was scored by midfielder Marcel Sabitzer from the penalty spot. Another match in this group between Belgium and Sweden was abandoned after the first half with the score 1:1 due to the murder of Swedish fans in Brussels.
In Group B, the Irish team defeated Gibraltar with a score of 4:0, and the Netherlands only snatched victory over Greece in stoppage time thanks to Virgil Van Dijk’s penalty goal.
