Daria beat the third seeded Minnen from Germany in two sets
Ukrainian tennis player Daria Snigur made it to the 1/8 finals of the tournament WTA 250 in Romanian Cluj-Napoca.
In the first round, the draw chose the third seeded Gret Minnen from Germany as her opponent. Daria confidently passed this barrier, spending a little over an hour on the two-set match.
The Ukrainian immediately started with a break on her opponent’s serve. Before the end of the set, Daria managed to perform this trick twice more, which provided her with a 6:3 result. The second game was even simpler for our compatriot – 6:2 with half the scoring points on someone else’s serves.
In the 1/8 finals, Snigur’s opponent will be the winner of the pair Anna-Lena Friedsam (Germany) – Ilona-Georgiana Gioroaie (Romania).
Let us remind you that earlier Dayana Yastremska and Katerina Beindl had an unsuccessful start in Cluj-Napoca. Anastasia Soboleva continues her performance at the tournament.
