Zheleznyakov suggested that figure skater Tuktamysheva could become a coach

Choreographer Alexey Zheleznyakov told that the world figure skating champion Elizaveta Tuktamysheva has enormous experience in women’s individual skating and can use it in a coaching career if he wants to build one.

Earlier on Wednesday, RIA Novosti Sport reported that Tuktamysheva would not participate in competitions in the upcoming season and would focus on ice shows.

— Do you think she will be able to use this season as preparation for a coaching career, if she has such a desire?

– That might well be the case. But I can’t get into Lisa’s head and predict what she wants.

– But do you see coaching skills in her? Is she capable of passing on her rich experience to new generations?

– A complicated problem. A good athlete does not always make a good coach. A person must first try themselves in a new role and gain experience. We cannot say that an athlete will succeed in a new profession. Of course, Lisa has enormous experience in women’s single skating. He is a competent and technically trained person, but not everyone can handle the load and responsibility; it is not so easy to teach children and adolescents.

You have to work, get involved, understand if you want to get involved in coaching. Many athletes have started coaching, but then said, “It’s not for me.” » When Lisa starts coaching, if she wants to and feels what it means to coach, then she will decide. Fulfilling coaching duties is one thing, but being a person who manages entire groups of skaters is another, and it’s not as easy as it seems from the outside. May God grant her good luck that everything goes well if she starts a coaching career,” Zheleznyakov told .

Tuktamysheva is 26 years old, she is a world and European champion, winner of the Grand Prix series final of the 2014/15 season. The athlete was announced for the new season as part of the Russian national team.
