World figure skating champion Elizaveta Tuktamysheva said she didn’t expect much interest from reporters on a day when there were no competitions.
On Wednesday, RIA Novosti Sport reported that Tuktamysheva will not compete in the upcoming season and will focus on ice shows. The athlete was entered for the stages of the Russian Grand Prix in Krasnoyarsk (October 27-30) and Moscow (November 24-27).
“Today I once again remembered what it is like to be at the peak of glory!” I didn’t expect to be so in demand by journalists on a day when there were no competitions. Meanwhile, I’m going to Omsk. See you soon! — wrote Tuktamysheva on the social network.
Tuktamysheva is the 2015 World and European champion, winner of the Grand Prix series final in the 2014/15 season.
