The fourth seed left the tournament in England
Greek tennis player, fourth seed Stefanos Tsitsipas unexpectedly lost to the Australian Nick Kyrgios in the 1/16 finals of Wimbledon 2022.
The meeting lasted three hours and 11 minutes. Tsitsipas took the first set in a tiebreak, but the next three games were left for Kyrgios.
In the fourth set, the Greek did not convert one set point on his serve with the score 5:4 and allowed Kiryos to make a break. On the tiebreak, Stefanos also missed the opportunity to move the match to the fifth game and at the decisive moment gave his serve – 9:7.
In the 1/8 finals, Kiryos will face 20-year-old American Brandon Nakashima, who entered the top 16 Wimbledon tennis players for the first time.
The best result of the Australian on the courts of Wimbledon remains the quarterfinals of the tournament, where Nick went out in 2014.
