Triple Olympic champion in biathlon and cross-country skiing Anfisa Reztsova died at the age of 58, reports press service of the Russian Biathlon Union (RUB).

— The Russian Biathlon Union reports with deep regret that on October 19, at the age of 59, the eminent biathlete and skier, double Olympic champion in biathlon, Olympic champion in cross-country skiing, double winner of the Championship world biathlon La Coupe, three-time world champion in cross-country skiing, has died. Honored Master of Sports of the USSR Anfisa Anatolyevna Reztsova.

Reztsova won gold and silver in cross-country skiing at the 1988 Olympics and also won three world championships. In biathlon, the athlete won gold at the 1992 (sprint) and 1994 (relay) Games, and also became a silver medalist at the world championships.
