Benfica without Trubin defeated Lusitania and reached the 1/16 finals of the Portuguese Cup

The Ukrainian received rest after matches for the national team

Benfica won confidently Lusitania in the 1/32 final match Portuguese Cup – 4:1.

The Eagles scored two goals in each half. João Mario, Rafa Silva, Arthur Cabral and Thiago Gouveia scored goals. Enzo Ferrara scored for Lusitania, converting a penalty.

Ukrainian goalkeeper for Benfica Anatoly Trubin was not included in the squad for today’s match. Let us remind you that in mid-October the goalkeeper played for the Ukrainian national team in matches against North Macedonia (2:0) and Malta (3:1).

This season, Trubin has played in six matches for Benfica, conceding five goals. In two fights, the Ukrainian played to zero.

Benfica is in second place in the Primeira Liga. Lusitania leads Group C in Portugal’s fourth division.

Benfica’s next match will be on October 24 against Real Sociedad in the Champions League.
