UEFA fined Lithuanian Football Federation for 10 thousand euros for chanting in the stands the famous song of Ukrainian fans “Putin is a dick” in a match with Serbia (1:3) in September. The federation said it would appeal the fine.

“Keep chanting, we will pay the fines with our bonuses if we have to,” Lithuania national team defender Justas Lasickas wrote on social networks.

The famous song was first performed by fans in Kharkov in 2014. Fans in Lithuania often perform it at various sporting events.

The Lithuanian national team takes fourth place in Group G of qualification for the 2024 European Championship. In the next match, the Lithuanians will play against Montenegro on November 16.
