Metalist 1925 suffered a fourth defeat in a row
Acting head coach Metallista 1925 Edmar commented on the lost match with Krivbass (1:3) in the 11th round Ukrainian Premier League.
“We knew it would be a difficult game. The opponent is now showing good football and, one might say, is reaching its peak. After we missed a very fast goal, we had to do twice as good, but we got a second goal. It’s good that Vachiberadze scored before the break. I liked that when the score was 0:2 and then my team did not give up and fought until the end. And so I congratulate Krivbass on their victory.”
“We had chances and should have scored. This is what we constantly say: implementation. We need to work on this. We focused on this all week, doing special exercises to complete attacks. But we don’t score in the game.”
“I repeat, Krivbass is in good shape now. We emphasized this. This means that we are not functionally prepared as well as our opponent.”
Metalist 1925 suffered their fourth defeat in a row, three of which were in the Ukrainian Championship. The Kharkov team last won in September in a match with Zorya (2:1).
Edmar’s team takes 11th place in the UPL. In the next match, Metalist 1925 will play away against Vorskla on October 29.
