Pochettino: Mudryk is a different man at Chelsea

The coach said that the Ukrainian has established good relations with the whole team

Head coach Chelsea Mauricio Pochettino said that the Ukrainian winger Mikhail Mudrik changed as a person after a few months in the Blues.

“After three months he’s not a completely different player because we’re not magicians, but he’s a different person. We begin to realize how wonderful this guy is. He is so sensitive and smart. It is important to give confidence in life and trust. When people trust, they can be open and begin to show their talent in football.”

“Misha has a really good relationship with the team, coaching staff, medical staff and the club. This is a huge improvement.”

“This is not about giving him some exercises or some advice on how to move between the lines or one itself. That’s part of his talent, but the most important thing is that he can feel confident and happy when he plays football. You need to feel connected to the game.”

Mudryk moved to Chelsea in January. On October 2, Mikhail scored his first goal for Chelsea, playing his 24th match for the London club. The winger scored a goal against the Malta national team in the qualification for the 2024 European Championship.

Chelsea are in 11th place in the Premier League. In the next match, Mudryk’s team will play against Ukrainian Alexander Zinchenko’s Arsenal on October 21. The meeting starts at 19:30.
