Dutch Quick-Step Alpha rider Fabio Jacobsen won the second stage of the Tour de France.
Jacobsen finished first in Nyborg after 202.2 km of racing. The second was the Belgian without van art (Jumbo Visma), third – Danish Mads Pedersen (Trek-Segafredo).
Van Aart took the overall lead heading into the final Danish round of the Tour.
For Jacobsen, this is the first Tour de France. In 2020, the 25-year-old Dutchman was seriously injured after flying off the track during the Tour of Poland. The runner was in an artificial coma and went through a long recovery process.
russian cyclist Alexander Vlasov (BORA — hansgrohe) and all the overall favorites finished in the overall group.
