Odessa again lost to the Romanian Minaur and did not make it to the next round
Motor won a difficult victory over Kerjeng from Luxembourg in the second leg of the 1/32 finals EHF European Cup. This result allowed the Ukrainian club to advance to the next stage.
Odessa lost again to the Romanian Minaur in a match at a similar stage of the European Cup.
Formally, Motor’s home match took place in Michalovce, Slovakia. The task for the guests did not look unattainable – to win back the -4 difference after the first match, which took place on October 14.
The team from Luxembourg even managed to win the first half with a minimal margin. But Keryeng was not enough for more – the final defeat was 30:33. The most productive players of the match were representatives of Motor, Vitaly Gorovoy (8 points) and Ilya Bliznyuk (7).
Odessa played the second match in a row with the Romanian club at its site in the city of Baia Mare. This time, the Odessa team managed to have a much more equal match than on October 19, when the Romanians won with a crushing score. Odessa even led by two points at the start of the match, but then Minaur took the game into his own hands, gained a comfortable advantage and held it without much difficulty.
Let us remind you that earlier the Donbass handball club completed its performance in the EHF European Cup, losing twice to Turkish Besiktas in the first round.
