Athletistic / Figure skating. At the Credit Union of Texas Event Center in Allen (USA), the first stage of the ISU Grand Prix – Skate America took place early in the morning of October 22, the men’s free program took place. The victory was won by an American of Russian origin, Ilya Malinin.
Based on the sum of the two programs, Malinin received 310.47 points from the judges and was more than 30 points ahead of his closest pursuer. The silver medal was won by the Frenchman Kevin Amoz, and the leading trio was completed by the Japanese Shun Sato.
Georgian Nika Egadze, a student of Russia’s Honored Coach Eteri Tutberidze, finished in fourth place, losing to Sato by just over 10 points.
