The Ukrainian scored a goal and earned a penalty in the match against Arsenal
Head coach Chelsea Mauricio Pochettino commented on the game of the Ukrainian winger Mikhail Mudrik in the match with Arsenal (2:2) in the 9th round English Premier League.
“Mudryk played well, he still needs to improve, for me he is still not in the best shape. I replaced him because we needed to change, increasing the pressure. The game was closer to 3-0 than 2-1. We wanted to apply pressure rather than hold on to the 2-0 result.”
Mudryk started in the London derby. The Ukrainian earned a penalty and later scored a magnificent goal. Mikhail left the field in the 66th minute, and after his departure Arsenal pulled back two goals and snatched a draw.
For the 22-year-old Ukrainian, this is already the second goal for Chelsea. On October 2, he scored the winning goal against Fulham. In total, Mikhail has 26 matches in a Blues jersey, two goals, two assists.
Chelsea have 12 points and are in tenth place in the Premier League. Mudryk’s team will next host Brentford on October 28.
