Wladimir Klitschko: My most difficult opponent in my career is Samuel Peter in 2005

The Ukrainian met with Peter twice during his career

Legendary former Ukrainian boxer Vladimir Klichko called the former WBC world heavyweight champion, a Nigerian, his strongest opponent in his professional career Samuel Peter.

“I dealt a lot of clean blows to Peter in 2005, he was unsteady, but stayed on his feet. In the last round, I thought I broke my knuckles with a left hook to his chin.”

“I think I knocked the wind out of him in that fight. At the same time, in our first fight, his determination and will to win were amazing,” Klitschko said.

Klitschko fought Peter twice during his career. In 2005, the Ukrainian won on points, while Vladimir was knocked down three times. The boxers met for the second time in 2010, when Klitschko Jr. confidently won by knockout.

Wladimir Klitschko retired in the summer of 2017, deciding not to rematch Anthony Joshua. It was the Briton who inflicted the last defeat in his career on the Ukrainian boxer, knocking him out in April of the same year.
