Ancelotti promised Lunin more game practice in the new season

Last season, the Ukrainian played four matches for the Blancos first team.

Ukrainian goalkeeper of Real Madrid Andrey Lunin decided to continue his career in the Madrid club.

The football player’s father Alexei Lunin insisted on moving to another club so that the football player could get enough playing practice. The player himself expects to become the first number in Real Madrid.

Lunin Jr. also had a personal conversation with Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti. Blancos’ mentor, along with the club’s management, was pleased with the player’s spring performances and promised the Ukrainian more game practice in the new season.

Last season, Lunin played four matches for the Blancos first team in all competitions and conceded four goals in total.

Earlier it was reported that Real wants to extend the contract with Lunin. The current agreement between the Ukrainian and Madrid expires in 2024. In 2018-20, the Blancos loaned the Ukrainian to Leganes, Valladolid and Oviedo.

It was noted that Real could give Lunin on loan this summer. A number of Spanish clubs were interested in the goalkeeper’s services, including Villarreal, Elche and Espanyol, as well as English West Ham and Italian Lecce, but the Ukrainian will remain in the Madrid club for next season.

Real Madrid have won three trophies in the 2021/22 season. The team of Carlo Ancelotti became the champion of Spain, the winner of the Champions League and the owner of the Spanish Super Cup.
