The Ukrainian believes that this will allow boxers to get guaranteed three to four fights a year
Ukrainian welterweight boxer Taras Shelestyuk (19-0-1, 13 KOs) believes that it is necessary to create its own league in world boxing. According to the Ukrainian, this guarantees boxers several fights a year.
“HBO will leave boxing, Showtime will leave boxing in 2024. What awaits boxing and boxers?
“We need to create our own boxing league, like football, American football, etc. We need a schedule of fights and shows for the year so that everyone fights everyone. 3-4 fights a year at least.”
Shelestyuk has not entered the ring since March 2022. The WBA eliminator fight between the Ukrainian and Gabriel Maestre from Venezuela ended in a draw.
Earlier, the Ukrainian stated that he intends to return to the ring in December. The boxer said that he has no contracts with promoters and is a free agent.
