On Monday October 16, before the Euro 2024 qualifying football match between Belgium and Sweden, two supporters of the Swedish national team were shot dead in Brussels. After the first half, which ended with a score of 1: 1, it was announced that the match was stopped and would not end. On Tuesday, Belgian Interior Minister Annelies Verlinden announced the death of a suspected killer, shot in the chest while detained in the commune of Schaerbeek, the capital.

– It’s terrible, of course. Getting shot while supporting your team and your country is terrible.

We have received notification from our federation. There are some precautions. For example, we will travel in civilian clothes,” quotes Karlsson in SVT.
