“I didn’t really count on the result” – Gachinsky about the debut of figure skater Solovyov on the stage of the Omsk Grand Prix

Figure skating coach Arthur Gachinsky enjoyed the skater’s debut Semyon Soloviev on the stage of the Russian Grand Prix in Omsk.

Soloviev took fifth place in the competition with 234.24 points. The winner of the stage was Matvey Vetlugin (270.87).

“I wasn’t really counting on the result.” And I’m not counting on that. The tasks assigned to Semyon are slightly different. It could have been a little better. Don’t go out wearing a quadruple shearling coat. In fact, the first thing I said to Semyon about it was when he came off the ice. For the rest of the elements, everything went very well, it’s not so simple when everything happens for the first time. I always explain to every athlete: while you are skating in juniors, they are just toys. The most interesting thing begins then, during the competitions for adults,” Gachinsky said, as quoted by RT.

The third stage of the Russian Grand Prix will take place in Krasnoyarsk on October 28-29.
