The new coach will lead Shakhtar together with the Croatian in the match against Barcelona
Sports director Shakhtar Darijo Srna commented on the appointment Marino Pusic head coach of Gornyakov.

Pusic signed a contract with Shakhtar until the summer of 2026. Earlier it was reported that the Bosnian’s assistant at Shakhtar would be the famous former Croatian footballer and later scout Mario Stanic.
Srna served as interim head coach. The miners won their first victory under the leadership of the Croatian, beating LNZ in the 11th round of the UPL (3:0). The Croatian became the best tour coach in the Premier League.
Shakhtar ranks third in the Ukrainian Championship with 21 points after ten matches. The Pitmen will play their next match in the Champions League against Barcelona on October 25.
