Mikhail Gechev will continue to perform in the Rivne club
Veres President Ivan Nadein commented on the return of legionnaires to the camp of the Rivne club. According to him, only one foreigner will arrive at the location of Veres – Moldavian midfielder Mikhail Gechev.
“Such an equal championship will give an opportunity for average teams, like ours, to catch on and show results, because most of the foreign players will not come.”
“By the way, only one legionnaire will come to us – Mikhail Gechev. The Armenian Margaryan and the Estonian Kreida refused to come, and we objectively understand their refusal. So we have only one legionnaire, we are waiting. If it is July 4th, then everything is fine.”
Before the new UPL season, the club from Rivne signed goalkeeper Arseniy Korkodym, as well as three defenders Roman Gagun, Nikolay Kvasny and Vasily Kurko.
Veres also extended contracts with defenders Roman Miroshnik and Artem Danilyuk, forward Mikhail Sergiychuk.
Veres finished ninth in the Premier League last season, which was brought to an early end due to a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine. The start of the new championship is tentatively scheduled for August 23.
