Gabriele Cioffi becomes the new head coach of Udinese

The contract with Allenatore, who previously trained the Zebras, was signed until the end of the current season.

Udinese officially announced the appointment of a new head coach. He became Gabriele Cioffiwho previously headed the Black and Whites.

The agreement with the 48-year-old specialist was signed until the end of the 2023/24 season. The contract contains an extension option. Cioffi’s presentation will take place on Thursday, October 26th. Along with Gabriele, the team will be completed by his assistant Cristiano Bacci and analyst Andrea Aliboni.

Cioffi has already served as Udinese head coach for the 2021/22 season, taking over mid-season in December. At the head of the Friulian club, he worked in 24 matches, gaining an average of 1.24 points per game. He then went to coach Verona, but was unsuccessful – he was fired already in the third month after the start of the 2022/23 campaign.

Let us remind you that on October 24, Udinese parted ways with the previous head coach Andrea Sottil and his entire coaching staff.

Sottil has led the Zebras since the summer of 2022. Under his leadership, the team took 12th place in the last Italian Championship.

Udinese has not yet managed to win a single Serie A match this season. The only victory of Sottil’s team in an official match was in August in the Italian Cup with Cattanzaro (4:1). The last time the Zebras won the Italian Championship was in early May.

Udinese is 18th in Serie A with six points. In their next match, the Zebras will play away at Monza on October 29.
