Sergei Kryanin, member of the Presidium of the Russian Ski Racing Federation (FLGR), told that the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) made an unfair decision by extending the suspension of competitions of Russian athletes and Belarusians.
On Wednesday, FIS council member Erik Röste said the decision to suspend the Russians and Belarusians had been extended for the upcoming season.
– It is an injustice, but we should not participate in international competitions in these conditions. We thought justice would prevail, but that’s not happening and I don’t see any trend (towards improvement).
We have decided to develop our competitions, we must move in this direction.
— Can the FIS return to the question of Russia and Belarus during the season?
– Don’t think. Maybe they will meet in the spring. “We will wait for something to change,” Kryanin told .
Russians and Belarusians have been suspended from FIS competitions since March 2022 due to the situation in Ukraine.
