The pause is connected with the newly introduced FIFA rules
Negotiations on the transfer of winger Shakhtar Solomon’s Manor in Fulham slowed down.
According to The Athletic journalist Adam Crafton, Fulham manager Marco Silva is dissatisfied with the club’s actions in the transfer market. Now the coach has to prepare for the new season with only 10 outfield players.
Among the problematic positions is Solomon’s transition. The reason for the changes in the possible transfer of the midfielder is the new FIFA rules, which allow legionnaires from Ukrainian clubs to go on loan until the summer of 2023.
It was reported that the London club had prepared a five-year contract for the Israeli. Solomon will receive 1.8 million euros a year in the English club. In turn, the Pitmen will receive about seven million euros for the transfer of the player.
Recall that Italian Torino and French Nice were interested in Manor’s services.
Solomon has been playing for Shakhtar since 2019. As part of the Pitmen, Manor played 106 matches, scored 22 goals and gave nine assists.
At the end of the last season of the Championship, Fulham took first place and advanced to the Premier League.
