Triple Olympic synchronized swimming champion Svetlana Kolesnichenko said that their duet with Maya Doroshko will present new programs at the Federation Cup in Kazan.
The competition will take place in Kazan from December 10 to 12.
— We have two new programs! Federation Cup debut! Both are subject to the new rules.
– Do you want to surprise me?
— As far as possible under the new rules. But I look at our programs that have turned out, I think they are quite interesting, despite the fact that in the new rules themselves everything is dry and the same.
-Are you used to it yet? Has the acceptance stage passed?
—Last year, when they started doing these programs. We have already completed all the steps in this regard. Everyone is hostage to these new rules. Our task is to add something interesting to what is proposed. I hope we succeeded,” Kolesnichenko told .
According to the criteria of the International Swimming Federation (World Aquatics), which assume individual admission to competitions, Russian synchronized swimmers will not be able to qualify for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.
