The Senegalese forward will officially take over on the first day of 2024
It is reported that the Saudi forward Al-Nasra Sadio Mane will become the new owner of the French fourth division club Burj 18 (Bourges Foot 18).
The official statement was made jointly by the Senegalese footballer, the French club and the municipal authorities of the city of Bourges.
The Burj 18 club was founded as a result of the merger of two local clubs in May 2021. It plays in Group B of National Division 2 (the fourth tier of French football). The team is in penultimate place in the standings, gaining only four points from seven matches.
It is expected that Mane will officially become the owner of the French club on January 1, 2024.
Mane, 31, currently plays for Al-Nasr, where he moved from Bayern in the summer. In 14 matches for the Saudi club, he scored 8 goals and provided two assists.
