– They motivate in the sense that they raced there in the USA, amuse their pride. We can’t do anything, but it’s normal for them, you can take the seconds you want. It is strange that world records are not pulled, but, apparently, just not to be impudent. In principle, all the leaders display seconds at the same level as me. If I was admitted to the international starts, I would race with them at the level. That time, when it was 12.84, I didn’t see a run for that result there. And arriving at the Diamond League in Oslo, Allen showed quite human seconds, his own, which he has always raced for and is ready for – 13.22. He always ran like that, yes, last year he ran 12.99 in Zagreb, but it’s real and close. But 12.84 – I don’t believe it. I say that there was no such race according to the drawing. And Halloway had 13.06 in that run, and 13.34 before and 13.11 after. They looked like they had been taken by hand. Visually, it was the usual race for fast hurdlers. And if I didn’t run here today, but there, maybe, on the upside, on motivation, I’d run the same 13.10.
– Is it the question of competition?
“I’m better prepared today than what I went through. Courage is not enough, here it’s not like that, but in Russia in 2016, when there were no international departures, I didn’t ‘ve ever exchanged 13.20. In general, if I’m not mistaken, in Russia I have the fastest result of 13.16 in test competitions before the 2013 World Cup. We need competition, courage , more vivid emotions, but here I can’t get it out of myself. My form is now excellent, I’m breaking various internal records in training.
