Vlasov – on his Tour de France debut: “It was raining, I didn’t risk it”

Russian cyclist from the BORA team — hansgrohe Alexander Vlasov said he rode carefully in the individual race of the first stage of the first “Tour de France”.

Belgian Yves Lampard won the first stage of the stage race. The best of the “generals” was the double winner of the Tour de France, the Slovenian Tadej Pogacar, who finished third. Vlasov finished 21st, losing 31 seconds to Lampar.

– It’s the first day. I didn’t take any risks today, I wanted to avoid a crash, there are still so many racing days ahead of me. I tried not to lose much, – said Vlasov after the finish.

– In the second part, they seem to have found their rhythm.

— Yes, the race was good. Unfortunately, it was raining today, otherwise a good result in the “cup” could have turned out.
