Liverpool defeated Toulouse in the home match of the third round Europa League 2023/24 – 5:1.
The Reds opened the scoring in the ninth minute, Diogo Jota scored. Five minutes later, the visitors came back thanks to a goal from Theis Dallinga. However, the Reds scored twice more before the break – goals from Wataru Endo and Darwin Nunez.
In the second half, Liverpool scored a rout. Nunez, beating the goalkeeper, missed the empty net and hit the post. But Ryan Gravenberch hit the visitors’ net with the second tempo. In injury time, Mohamed Salah scored the hosts’ fifth goal.
Liverpool are confidently leading Group E with a maximum of 9 points. Toulouse remains in second place with four points. In the fourth round of the Europa League, these same teams will play each other in France on November 9.
