The Ukrainian scored an assist in the game against Sporting
Ukrainian midfielder Rakuva Vladislav Kochergin commented on the match with Sporting (1:1) in the third round of the group stage of the Europa League. Kochergin scored an assist in the game against the Portuguese club.
“Before the opponent’s sending off, we were very good at escaping pressure, but after the red card we conceded a goal from a set piece, after which Sporting gained more strength, and we lost our rhythm a little. It was difficult to implement the developments that we trained before the match. It probably broke our team a little bit.”
“During the break, the coaching staff told us how to properly open up the opponent’s defense. We scored a goal – we could have scored more, but these are still our first points in the Europa League. Of course, there was a bit of a bitter taste, because we could have won… But Sporting is also a very good team with good players, so we are content with a draw.”
“Is the lawn in poor condition? I agree with this. It was slippery, even playing in boots with iron spikes, but we have what we have. We still have three matches left, and the coaching staff said that each of our opponents can be beaten. You just need to make every effort and go into every Europa League match with the desire to win.”
Kochergin has played 22 matches for Rakow in all competitions this season. The Ukrainian has five goals and two assists.
Raków is in fourth place in Group D with one point. The match against Sporting in the 4th round of the LE group stage will take place on November 9.
