Usyk’s rematch with Joshua will take place on August 20 in Saudi Arabia
Former middleweight title contender Sergey Derevyanchenko thinks that Anthony Joshua there are chances of winning a rematch with the holder of the WBA, WBO and IBF titles in the heavyweight division Oleksandr Usyk.
The Ukrainian boxer is confident that Joshua will be more aggressive in the second fight.
“I hope Usyk wins, but I think this fight will be different than the first one. I think Joshua wanted a rematch. I think he works hard. I don’t know who is the favourite. I think the chances are 50/50. Yes, the odds are even, because Joshua wanted a rematch. He wants to win. I believe that he will show a different boxing,” Derevyanchenko said.
“Do I think Joshua can only win by knockout? No. I believe that he is able to outbox Usyk. In the first fight, Joshua managed to box, but Usyk won. Joshua will make a difference in this fight. I think he will be more aggressive. In this case, he will have a chance. But Usyk moves very well, his legs work very well and he uses the corners. Let’s see what happens.”
The second fight between Usyk and Joshua will take place in Saudi Arabia. The fight will be broadcast live on the DAZN streaming platform.
Last fall, Usyk defeated Joshua by unanimous decision to become world heavyweight champion for the first time.
