Prometheus beat the Austrian Tyrol in the opening match of the first stage of men’s volleyball Champions League – 3:1.
The Ukrainian team started the match confidently, but by the end of the first set the Austrians put up a fight – 25:23. The second game was even more tense, Tirol snatched victory with a score of 32:30.
The teams also played the next two sets in close competition. Prometheus won with a slight advantage in each game.
In the next match, the Dnipro team will meet with the Finnish ValePa on October 28. The first stage of the Champions League for the Ukrainian team will end with a match with the Dutch Dynamo Apeldoorn on October 29. The two best teams from the quartet will advance to the second round.
