Figure skater Pierre Gumennik performed for the first time in official competition on a cover of the song Sonne by the German group Rammstein performed by the Russian group Radio Tapok.
This happened during the third stage of the Russian Grand Prix, which takes place in Krasnoyarsk. According to the results of the short program, Gumennik took fifth place with 70.41 points.
During the offseason, Gumennik and his team held a short program to the song Sonne. He presented it at Tamara Moskvina’s club master class in August 2023, but did not present it at the Russian national team’s skate tests. It turned out that Gumennik’s team was advised to abandon the German band’s music at sports tournaments.
The skaters will present their free programs on the Grand Prix stage in Krasnoyarsk on Sunday, October 29.
