Figure skater Maria Agayeva admitted to being surprised by her performance in the short program during the third stage of the Russian Grand Prix in Krasnoyarsk.
The 15-year-old is in the lead after the short program, earning 70.91 points for his performance.
— Very unexpectedly, I was very surprised. Very pleasant. But there is something to work on, but overall I am satisfied with the rental. This is my personal best. I felt more confident after Omsk. There was a much larger audience in Omsk, but less here,” Agayeva said, as quoted by Championship.
Anna Frolova (70.75 points) took second place in the short program, Elizaveta Kulikova took third (68.18).
On Sunday, the skaters will perform free programs.
