In every match, Maksimov’s players play for results
Mentor Dnepra-1 Yuri Maximov summed up the results of the meeting with Krivbass in the 12th round of the UPL (0:3). According to the coach, his players lacked the strength and execution of scoring chances.
“In my opinion, the guys didn’t have enough strength. They were very tired after the two previous matches.”
“The first goal of Krivbass? There was a VAR at the game, who makes the decision. But in any case, you can’t return anything. Still, I would like us to score. And there were chances – Gutsulyak also had a penalty. We might not have lost a clean sheet, but we conceded a lot today.”
“There are a lot of games of principle. We go out to every game and play for results. The team does not win every match, there are also defeats – all this needs to be understood and accepted. We must move on, because there are still many games ahead. We will train and try to achieve victories.”
“As for the times when I worked in Krivbass, those were good years for me, but then we depended on other people. Now the situation is different: the coach can invite the players he wants, but then everything was different.”
Maksimov’s team interrupted its five-match winning streak in the UPL, losing devastatingly to Krivbass – 0:3. In the UPL standings, Dnipro are in fourth position.
On November 1, Dnepr-1 will play an away match with Rukh.
