SK Prometheus in an incredible match he defeated the Finnish ValLePa in the second game of the first stage of men’s volleyball Champions League – 3:2.
The Ukrainian club lost in the opening two games, and in the third set ValePa did not convert the match point at all. Prometheus showed character and led the match to a tiebreaker, where he managed to put the squeeze on his opponent – 15:13.
This is Prometheus’s second victory at the first stage of the men’s Champions League. In the first round, the Ukrainian team beat the Austrian Tyrol (3:1).
The first stage of the Champions League for Prometheus will end with a match with the Dutch Dynamo Apeldoorn on October 29. The two best teams from the quartet will advance to the second round.
Prometheus will need at least one point to advance to the second round. The Champions League group stage starts on November 22.
