Figure skaters Annabelle Morozov and Igor Eremenko withdrew from the free dance on stage at the Russian Grand Prix in Krasnoyarsk due to injury to their partner

Dance duet Annabelle Morozova /Igor Eremenko withdrew from the free program at the third stage of the Russian Grand Prix in Krasnoyarsk for medical reasons, reports the press service of the Russian Figure Skating Federation (FFKKR).

On Saturday, during the warm-up before the rhythm dance, Annabelle received a cut on the leg when she collided with Elizaveta Shanaeva, performing in tandem with Pavel Drozd. Morozov went to the rental with a bandage on the damaged area. After the competition, the skater received medical treatment. Doctors stitched up the leg wound.

“Today Annabelle and Igor went to practice before the free dance, but were unable to skate at full strength due to pain,” the post notes.

After a short dance, Angelica Krylova’s students took third place in the Grand Prix, receiving 76.13 points for their performance.

The skaters will present their free dance on Sunday.
