The coach of Metalist 1925 is disappointed that his team did not retain victory in the match with Vorskla
Trainer Metalist 1925 Oleg Golodyuk commented on his team’s draw in the away match of the 12th round UPL against Vorskla (2:2).
“The way the match developed, we are not satisfied with the result. Today we saw a real team on the field. Everyone supported each other. Through work we will survive this moment. The main thing is not to give up, keep your head up and correct the situation through training.”
“Sidorov is a very important player for us. We supported him and will continue to support him. It was clear from him that psychologically he was very worried that he could not score. We hope this goal will give him confidence for the future.”
“We were probably ready for the second half only in words. We had to come out and at least play the first minute of the half very reliably. However, this is not our first goal conceded immediately after the break. We need to do something about this, look for answers.”
Let us remind you that in Poltava the Kharkov team opened the scoring in the 17th minute – forward Alexey Sidorov scored his debut goal for Metalist 1925 and in general in the UPL. The guests won the first half, but conceded in response in the 47th minute. 12 minutes before the end, the team of Golodyuk and Edmar took the lead again, but Vorskla managed to win back for the second time.
The Kharkiv team missed the opportunity to overtake the Poltava team in the table. Metalist 1925, who has not won since mid-September, is eleventh with 12 points. In the next round, Golodyuk’s team will play against Chernomorets.
