Figure skater Anna Frolova after winning the third stage of the Russian Grand Prix series in Krasnoyarsk, she answered the question of whether she considers herself a veteran.
Anna Frolova, 18, won in Krasnoyarsk with a score of 215.55 points in a total of two programs.
— I am very happy, I am happy to have completed a series of four starts in a short time with dignity, the results were improving, with the exception of my pirouettes (smiles). It’s a shame to lose points on this, in my opinion it’s stupid and unreasonable. That means I’m going to skate the whole program and then do a combination of six rotations so they definitely work.
Then, I will take a short break to recover physically, if the staff allows it, and mentally. And with new strength we go into battle, in preparation, for the Russian Championship, to show the best results there.
Did the illness interfere in any way? It was difficult to find the right atmosphere; during the warm-up it was a little distracting, but during the skating session it was no longer the case. Since the coaches offered me different options on what they could do with me, but I believe that this is an important experience for me, going through such difficulties, I will become armored (smiles). I said no, let’s go this way, I can skate.
Do I feel like a veteran? Honestly no. I’m a big girl, a lady, I’m quite happy with that. My idols in women’s figure skating are: Elizaveta Tuktamysheva And Eugene Medvedeva who have had fairly long sporting careers. Lisa is generally a brilliant, unique athlete. I try to be like them and ride long and successfully. “I will do everything possible for this,” Frolova said in “Championship”.
