In the final, the Dragons beat the Gaimin Gladiators
Team Spirit became the champion of the main Dota 2 tournament of the year – The International 2023.
In the grand final the Dragons met Gaimin Gladiatorswinners of three majors from Valve in 2023, and achieved a confident victory with a score of 3:0.
Team Spirit became the winner of The International for the second time in history, repeating OG’s achievement. For the first time, the Dragons triumphed at TI in 2021, beating PSG.LGD (3:2) in the final.
Two players from Ukraine play for Team Spirit: Ilya “Yatoro” Mulyarchuk and Miroslav “Mira” Kolpakov. The team is also represented by Russians Yaroslav “Miposhka” Naydenov, Magomed “Collapse” Khalilov, Denis “Larl” Sigitov and coach Airat “Silent” Gaziev.
Team Spirit received $1.4 million for winning TI 2023. Gaimin Gladiators earned 377 thousand. Third place went to LGD Gaming (251 thousand).
The International 2023 took place in Seattle. 20 teams competed for a prize fund of $3.1 million.
Please note that before the grand final Valve announced the appearance of a new hero in Dota 2 it will be Ring Master. It will appear in the game in 2024.
