Spanish attacking midfielder Leipzig And Spain national team player Dani Olmo out for several weeks with a shoulder injury.
The 25-year-old player came on as a substitute on October 28 in a home Bundesliga match against Cologne (6:0), but left the field after 7 minutes with an injury. The Spaniard was diagnosed with a rupture of the acromioclavicular joint.
Thus, Olmo is guaranteed to miss Spain’s final matches in Euro 2024 qualifying against Cyprus (November 16) and Georgia (November 19). It is highly likely that he will not return to the field in 2023.
Olmo recently missed about a month and a half due to a knee injury. This season he managed to play 7 matches for Leipzig, score 6 goals (three of them against Bayern in the Super Cup match), and give one assist. In addition, in September he scored a goal against the Georgian national team (7:1).
The Spanish national team secured an early ticket to the 2024 European Championship by beating Norway on October 15.
RB Leipzig is in fifth place in the Bundesliga with 20 points, 5 points behind leaders Bayer Leverkusen.
