The first qualifying matches will take place on November 9 and 12
Ukrainian women’s basketball team announced the application for the November qualifying matches at EuroBasket 2025.
Head coach Evgeny Murzin called up 12 basketball players. The list included national team captain Alina Yagupova.
Ukrainian women’s basketball team: Daria Dubnyuk (Slavia), Elizaveta Mitina (Tomiris), Victoria Balaban (Neptunas), Alina Yagupova (Mersin), Ulyana Datsko (Neptunas), Elena Boyko (Torun), Miriam Uro-Nile (Friburg), Tatyana Yurkevicius (Milan) , Veronica Lyubinets (Cluj), Evgenia Putra (Caledonia), Olga Maznichenko (Orly), Vladislava Voloshina (Turan).
Evgeniy Murzin’s team starts on November 9 in Belgrade with an away match against the Serbian team. On November 12, the Ukrainian national team will host Portugal in Riga. The Ukrainian team will play the next two matches a year later, in November 2024. The selection for our team will end with a match against North Macedonia on February 9, 2025.
Women’s EuroBasket 2025 will be held for the first time in four countries – Italy, Greece, the Czech Republic and Germany. The teams of these countries received places in the final part and will play each other for FIBA ranking points in Group I.
