Despite winning the first meeting, the Zhytomyr team lost in sets – 4:5
Zhitichy failed to overcome the barrier of 1/32 finals in men’s CEV Cup. In the return match of this stage, the Ukrainian team lost to the Serbian Vojvodina – 1:3 – and left the tournament.
Let us remind you that in the first meeting, which took place on October 26, the Zhytomyr team managed to beat the opponent with a score of 3:2.
In the return match, Vojvodina immediately seized the initiative and won the first set quite confidently. In the second game, the Zhitichs forced a fight, but the end was in Vojvodina’s hands.
The guests improved and deservedly took the upper hand in the third set. But the next set did not go according to their plan, and in the end the Serbian team won with the required score and advanced to the round of 16 finals.
Another representative of Ukraine is participating in this round – Epicenter-Podolyany. In the first meeting, the Ukrainian club lost to Decospan Menen from Belgium – 1:3. The return match will take place tomorrow, November 2.
